Two manual brewing methods, two very different cups of coffee.
**French Press**: An immersion method. The grounds steep in water for several minutes. Because it uses a metal mesh filter, oils and fine particles pass into the cup. The result is a heavy-bodied, rich, and textured coffee.
**Pour Over (e.g., V60, Chemex)**: A percolation method. Water passes through the grounds and a paper filter. The paper removes oils and fines. The result is a clean, tea-like cup that highlights acidity and complex flavor notes.
**Choose French Press if**: You like a bold, strong cup and a simple brewing process.
**Choose Pour Over if**: You prefer clarity, brightness, and enjoy the craft of brewing.
